1. Choosing the shape of the dog harness

Every animal is unique, and their needs when it comes to wearing a harness vary from one dog to another.

To understand your dog's needs, you can start by observing their walking habits.

Do you and your dog enjoy active walks? Choose a harness that respects their bone structure and won't injure them during movement. We recommend an H-shaped harness, which provides good clearance for the front legs, doesn't restrict movement, and doesn't compress the chest. For walks with complete freedom!

Does your dog pull during walks? An H-shaped harness with a double buckle can help you solve this problem. Attaching the leash to both the back buckle AND the chest buckle helps to reduce the forward pulling motion. In fact, your dog quickly understands that pulling forward isn't as comfortable, and they naturally reduce their pace. The pulling effect is better distributed and puts less strain on their upper body.

If you have a young dog, using a harness is not discouraged. However, you must ensure that its shape does not hinder the bone and muscle development of your furry friend. An ill-fitting accessory can harm a dog's growth in the long term. To help your young dog get used to their accessory, you can have them wear it for short periods to start. Make sure the experience is positive for them: outdoor walks, treats, etc. Over the days, you can increase the duration of the exercise; your puppy should adapt very quickly.

What size harness should I get for my dog?

For your dog to be comfortable during walks, they need a harness that fits them. For maximum comfort and top safety, it must be perfectly adjusted. To ensure it's neither too loose nor too tight, consider your dog's breed and age.

• Small dog (Dachshund, Miniature Pinscher, Bichon, Yorkshire, Cavalier King Charles): neck circumference 30-45 cm – chest circumference 35-50 cm
• Medium dog (Bandit, Cocker, Beagle, French Bulldog, Shiba Inu, Jack Russell): neck circumference 40-55 cm – chest circumference 45-70 cm
• Large dog (German Shepherd, Malinois, English Bulldog, American Staffordshire, Labrador, Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever): neck circumference 45-65 cm – chest circumference 55-85 cm
